msi k8n neo2 with zalman cnps7000b-cu?

My msi k8n neo2 has a metal backplate behind the cpu. Can I install the zalman cnps7000b-cu usind the metal backplate or do I have to remove it and install the zalman fiberglass backplate? The holes look like they're in the same place. If I have to remove the metal backplate, how do I get it off? It's stuck on there good.
Thanks! :-)

Hi there, you should be okay with the default backplate which is on there, the holes on there are will line up perfectly.

if you do which to remove the backplate I would use a hairdryer to heat up the plate and the glue to become warm, then using a bank card and a flat screwdriver lift it up.

similar to how I did the GPU cooling removal here: http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=get...&articID=2 62
