Default mbot question.

What happens if you submit a score, mbot writes it down, and then later edit your post? Will mbot automatically update it again at it's scheduled update? Also, if the thread gets longer, will the update process take longer?

I really like how it works RB. Kudos!

More info:

Mainboards with 1000MHz HyperTransport Bus Reach Retail

The bot scans the thread always from the beginnen, thus edited posts will change.

Updating takes about 10 seconds a page, so not that extremeley long, If I read it correctly

About 1sec per page to be more exact. : )

Tracking changes instead of asserting the results from scratch would only make it slower.

mbot is RichBa5tard's creation. It keeps the scores submitted in the super pi and 3dmark threads on several fora.

PowerColor X800 PRO Assassin Edition
Intel to Divide Processors By Power Consumption
Pi4 + winbond CH5

it does more then that offcourse

It keeps our clubs when we go golfing and keeps the score when we are playing snooker, for instance :-)

Every few hours, the bot scans each page of the 3dmark/superpi/... thread for scores between [mbot][/mbot] tags, after which it's updates the global database (holding all the entries) and the first post of the thread. The first post contains a local ranking, local subrankings for each specific type of hardware and a global ranking, containing the average score of the top five members globally.

The site hosting the mbot engine is currently http://madmark.madoka.be
