Look what I found today while working

Hello guy's, look what I found today @ work.
In the basement of a cultural center, where I need to do a reparation I discovered this. From the pictures here and other forums, I remember it was maybe usefull to make something ;) cold.

Other view:

I asked the owner what he will do with it, and he just said to me "just grab it, we build a new fridgerator unit, and its useless to me"
So I told my companion (I was busy) to grab it, and take it to our van :D

so you'll be skipping the pelts and go straight to custom phase change then :D

Desert Eagle 12th November 2004 20:18

No man, not yet, first the pelt stuff ;)

This coolergroup is sealed in my top-secret workshop

Otherwise my kids demolish it :(

Can someone tell me what the "tube" in the middle is(between radiator and compressor) and the small tube (where the pipe stops)?

kristos 13th November 2004 16:18

I know close to nothing about this but I think it's eather an "expantievat" or a dryer

kristos 13th November 2004 16:31

maybe this 'll help:

TeuS 13th November 2004 16:52

that's the schem of a cascade. we're talking about a single unit here :)

the tube between radiator (condensor) and compressor is the capillary tube. the tube with the dead end is used to (re)fill the unit

kristos 13th November 2004 18:48

so?

it still uses the same components...

and doesn't the capilary tube go straight from the compressor to the evaporator head?
