Thorgal, just saw your 19k PCM05. You fixed the Multithread Test 2 issues, so those are running at full speed, but now it seems that there's something wrong with your 3D scores:

Transparant windows
You: 8815,31
Me: 9411,484

Are you sure Aero theme is enabled?

3D - Pixel shader
You: 1145,39
Me: 1340,466

Seems like a driver issue. Did you switch to 8.12? Everything set to performance?

Memory Latency - Random 16
You: 16,02
Me: 17,037

I'm running really low memory clocks (638 6-6-6-20 1T, dual channel). No idea why you're lower than me.

In all other tests you kinda kick my ***, though

yup, still on 8.11 drivers. Will change them to 8.12 tonight. Thanks for the comparison

Retested only 2 tests on 8.12 :

transparant windows : corrected : 10746

3D pixel shader : 1154 : not corrected

Will try some more...

Edit : found it : LOD was still at 3, putting it back to 0 solved it : 1450 !

Edit 2 : very strange results. Reran PC05 and now again trouble with trhansparant windows and multithread 2. Don't understand at all.

Edit 3 : not a great bench-day so far. Only result worthwhile is 300k AM3, but even that's not very great.

Edit 4 : 3D03 eats magnitudes of power so it seems : OCZ 1kW PSU couldn't run it with 2 6-pin connectors on 4870X2 (one with adapter). Had to switch to 3 6-pins to get it stable.

Scores are looking better and better

PCM05: 20120
Transparent windows still seem too low; you should hit about 1k more. Are you absolutely sure the Aero theme is activated? Do you reboot before running the bench? Running as administrator?

Your 32M run looks quite good actually, did you do a CW or CDT?

Aquamark loves cpu frequency, so you'll probably get beaten quite hard by the C2D folks.

Btw, please have a look at the validation screenshot rules over at hwbot. It would be a pity to see scores blocked because the screenshot rules .

CW or CDT : not familiar with what you mean by this ? It was a "stock" run, not even realtime pi.

Screenshots : which one is not ok ? AM3 ? I'm not sure I know how to fix that as it always runs in full screen mode :?

Ah, yes. Never used that, read about it on OCxtreme. How much difference does it make ?

LOL btw: i7 @ 4.4Ghz full load eats 600W, 4870X2 at idle.

Browse for 'OCX Superpi tweaker', an easy application to do CW runs. Basicly, by moving around packets of data across harddisks, you 'prepare' the memory for large calculations. I'll give you a lenghty detailed explanation when we meet in real life .

AM3: misses CPU-Z (cpu and mem info) and gpu-z tabs. When the run is finished, press print-screen and paste in paint or irfanview. Then open all programs, make a decent lay-out () and hit print-screen again. Paste in paint or irfanview and you're done

32M: cpu-z memory tab (memset has more information, so you can just add it as well)

The difference is HUUUGE ; we're talking 10 seconds or more.
