Default "Hardware limited" on hwbot, why?

Hi all,

In a few bench, I'm going to be "hardware limited"on hwbot.
It's the rule and I accept it. I will continue to mark point for my team.

But I don't understand it. If someone can explain to me this rule which is not the same for all because those who have marked more than 300 pts before have kept their hardware points?

Thank you.

The hardware points limit on hwbot is at 300 points, which means that if you have over 300 hardware points, for instance 350, only 300 are added to your personal total. The total amount of points, 350, are added to the teams account.

We implented this cap because in the past, we noticed that the overclocker league was dominated by people who benched a lot of hardware, not by people who bench extreme with hardware. The overclockers league is to determine who's the best overclocker, ergo who's the overclocker that benches the newest hardware the most extreme. With the cap limit, the overclockers league is now rules by the extreme benchers and not by the people who just bench a lot.

you can try reach the top here though http://www.hwbot.org/hardware.masters.do

I don't think you are near the 300HardwarePoint limit...

I have 250 hardware points. Next week-end I will bench with a crossfireX 3x3850 with pencil mod . My E8600 will be under dry ice, and I expect a few WR...
But you're right jmke, I'm very very far from S_A_V or Matti OC... more than 1700 hardware points, it's amazing! I think he has spent years and years of bench !
