I was off course referring to this:

Quote:
*If you use AM3 / AM2+ CPU on AM2 chipset motherboard, the system bus speed will downgrade from HT3.0 (5200 MT/s) to HT1.0 (2000 MT/s), but the CPU frequency will not be influenced.

*If you adopt AMD Phenom™ X4 AM2+ CPU on this motherboard with AGP VGA cards, please click here for AGP VGA Card support list.
Then again, interesting enough to put to a test, and dirty cheap. Supports:
AM3Phenom II X4HDX965FBK4DGMDeneb3400MH2000MHz512KB x46MBC3125WP3.0
That's new C3 stepping of the X4 965, but very probable inpossible to find in shops as we speak.

Alternate has them.

This board is interesting because:

A) Phenom-II is CPC equal or better than Conroe (X6800)
B) Phenom-II can clock higher on air than the X6800 (4GHz doable)
C) Maybe the 3D performance is influences by the HT Link frequency being at 2GHz, whereas the FSB is below 1500MHz on the X6800 platform.

Seems like the system isn't co-operating. Will have to shut down and try again this evening ;
