Use a hole saw and attach it to an electric drill is the easiest way. But the hole saw will cost you $20. With patience, dremel will take about 30 minutes for one hole.;) Practice makes perfect. Try it with an old case. |
dremel sux to make nice round holes. if you have an alu case, get a circle cutter. I bought once one for RB, it cost 40€. I've heard it made very nice blowholes |

@ lazyman: Yes, I was in the store today and I was looking for a hole saw. But I only found them for wood not steel and only the sizes 111 mm and 140 mm but not 116 mm (that would be perfect). @ TeuS: What's a circle cutter? And what's RB? :D And it's not an alu case but I can try :) |
I don't know if it's the exact name in English , but i always make my blowholes with an electric jigsaw ( wipzaag ) with fine blades . Just make sure you tape the top , so you don't scratch it , make al your marks , drill a hole in the big circel that will become your blowhole , put the sawblade through the hole you just drilled , and start sawing slowely folowing your lines . After that you'll just have to file and sand the edges a little , and you'r done . |

@ beerke: Yeah, I was thinking of that too. It could work because a hole of 116 mm is pretty large so maybe it's easier to make a circle with a "wipzaag" :D @ jmke: Thanks! I forgot that Google is my friend ;) @ lazyman: Google sais it means RichBastard :D I'll go to some shops tomorrow and check out what hey have. Thanks for the help! |
