Getting a64 [MAD] - Page 4

Hmmm... I'm buying a computer at forcom for a friend one of these weeks, maybe i should ask. It could never hurt. : )

One question: the warranty papers are not filled out by the shop (serial number should be written on it), does it matter? Could anyone with a boxed AMD checkl whether his warranty papers are filled out?

if i remember correctly , the papers of a 2400+ boxed bought @ tones were not filled in. ( we lost them also , so i can't check it)

ah crap,

I just bought an a64 3000+ boxed cpu. Installed it, booted and guess what my K8V said?

Yes: "System failed cpu test"....blabla

darn, am I having really bad luck with my cpu's or is this mobo FUBAR?
