![]() | if you had replied something else then "yeh?" I might have understood that you needed confirmation on that ![]() yes it IS true, difference between GT <> Ultra is not very big, not noticable in games unless you run 1600x1200 4x FSAA 8x AS

![]() | Who can disagree. ![]() Overclock now or later doesn't mean any difference if the outer limit is what you are getting after. Like we all need 3GHz AMD S939 to making a living or couldn't do our job without. ![]() So, I'd say go for it and let us know how far you get.

![]() | if you have a vanilla 6800, and you get it up to GT/Ultra speeds, then I agree with you Lazyman; but in case of the 6800GT, increases might not be seen today; but a year from now it will be; it does matter. let me explain. if you run Doom3 now at 1280x1024 you will get 70+ on either GT or Ultra. overclocking your GT to Ultra or higher speeds will not be noticable in-game because whether you have 70fps or 77fps your eyes and mind wont register this. however 1 year from now Raven releases a game based on the Doom3 engine and added tons of complex level design and cool special effects, your frame rate drops to 30fps with the GT, the Ultra gets 35fps; if you now overclock that GT to Ultra speeds, you WILL notice that 5fps in-game. ![]()

| yeh I know that framerate story, you can't see the difference above 60 FPS. though, is the difference between a GT and an ultra only frames? |
