| Geforce 2 OC issue yea I know, it's not quite the fashion to overclock these cards from history, but I have an old pc to get a bit into oc-ing. It's a slot1 pIII 500Mhz on an Aopen AX6BC, some basic memory and a geforce 2 GTS (ripped out of a medion so I don't know if they modified the card a bit ) Anyway, with a bigger cpu fan (80mm vs 32mm...), the pc is rockstable at 560Mhz, memory timings at there lowest. I ran thousands of burn-in tests (yes in this hot weather) and the pc never boots. But when I stress the GPU (3Dmark2001SE) things go wrong. Even in the first runs I see a lot of artifacts (in the worst case just some basic colours as texture) and the pc boots. The GPU is not oc'ed and even when I underclock it to the max, it fails. I also tested with a rage128 - same result. My guess is that the frequency of the AGP-bus is too high? Multiplier is set at 2/3, can't go lower... or is this theory nonsens? Either way, can somebody help me out a bit? (yea I speak Engrish I know) |
