[CPU cooler]

Hey everybody,
I'm totally new at cooling/modding and would
like to have some hints about a CPU cooler.
After checking a few of the manufacturers,
I found out that my mobo is so bad I won't
be able to fit a "mainstream" cooler. The
Zalman an thermalright series won't fit:(
I own a Gigabyte GA-VTXH+ board and
would like to get rid of the enormous sound
of mij boxed cpu fan (4600rpm!!)
Other manufacturers or types are always
welcome, I'd do the research myself

Thanx in advance

and the thermalright with clips doesn't that fit??

the SLK800A & SLK900A come with 3-pin clips afaik

send of an email to support@thermalright.com if you have any questions,

the Swiftech MCX462V also fits over the 3-clip mechanism

Motherboard compatibility: all(*) AMD™ compliant motherboards using socket 462. The MCX462-V heatsink fits entirely into AMD's height restriction areas. µ

There is a "free for all" area located at each corner of the socket, which may in some motherboards be occupied by tall capacitors. Maximum capacitor height clearance afforded by the heatsink in such area is .600" (15.3mm). Please consult with your motherboard vendor to verify compatibility.

I'll be browsing all the coolers with a 3clip,

Zalman CNPS6000.
A bit cheaper then the thermalright, bit not as much of a preformer.
