Default calantak beaten by a shrimp

New 3D 2k1 highscore @shrimp: 18030 marks with a XP2100+, R9500, 2*256mb twinmoss ddr333 (mtec!) and a 8rda+!

Best of all: he uses cheap & silent aircooling!

respect @cmdr_god

It's a nice score, indeed. But you have to know that Calantak his score was already 6months old.

Richb, I think that you should get on the first place.

he's granted his score, score is crushable if I would have kept my prommy, but i decided to give it away.

@ gamer : do you feel like benching again or not?
coz if you're out : I'm out
Just ran one run of 3dmark01 for the fun of it and came to the conclusion that the carlo fluctuation was still there, one of the main reasons I stopped benching that sucky bench.

I'll stay out.

too much freezescreens in the last few years to even try it out.

I had an enemy I knew one year ago, and that was fun.

I so hated gamer for coming up with new scores everytime...

Btw, the reply of reutel on shrimpcity irritated me quite a bit.
One year ago I stood top twenty on the orb in the 13k days...and all the other guys had better setups then I had, so insulting me for not having the time to start soldering is just plain sucky, I tweaked the **** out of win 98 back then...

No one questions your results of a year back, you did some heavy tweaking then.

But reutel is correct that many ppl can crush your current score if they had enough money & time. But then again, if you had enough time right now, you'd be back on top.

back on topic:
his nature score is a bit flaky, but i've seen his radeon and it normally doesn't artifact at that speed, so i think it's not run hoolichio-style. Perhaps nature benefits massively from high FSB?

men reply op "reutel"

Quote:

maarja niet iedereen volgt deze thread, of weet die de man achter de nickname "calantak" is. 2 bad, cause you're missing out on one hell of a great guy!

well, reutel's response would have been okay if he told it to me like you tell it, richyB
But I don't like people who come up, do nothing and say : if anybody could do what you do, they'd crush you.
Come on, that's BS. To do what I do, you'd have to be me, and being me isn't all fun

My score is old.
I don't plan to improve it anyday soon, you know.
There are reasons for that, reasons of bandwhith problems with a futureproof cpu as you read in my pm, but also reasons of boredom with currentstate benching, ask gamer what I mean, you guys haven't seen half teh amount of 3dmarkscreens we've seen yet. At some point you say **** THIS

the only way not to get bored with it after years... is to have no other interests...
I can and will not idolize that as some of the Xtremesystems-members do.

but that is just my opinion.

like I said on shrimpforum, it was fun while it lasted.
I bet [M] wouldn't been born if it wasn't for some die hard OC'ers like Calantak, JMke, RB and myself.

the next generation (yes, I'm feeling old) is doing a great job !!!

about the money, when I was 12 years old, I worked for my money in the holiday's, bought me a colecovision with it, commodore 64, tv,....
now those where the day's...

loved mousetrap...

nowadays, they ask money from their parents, don't want to work (not all, don't understand me wrong).....

I wanted to hire somebody at work, 18 years old, first words he said was :" I want to earn that much...."

just my 2 cents
