looks promising already, nice OC, 510Mhz max FSB so far? |
Not bad for an unmodded board and with a 4 Mb chip. Bad axe topped around 440 Mhz |
Looks good Windwithme. Chipset getting hot due to the fact its passively cooled? Crazy BIOS though, it almost puts me off all of those options. I wouldn't know where to start. :D |
Thanks for this windwithme. P965 does a little better still, but RD600 looks promising indeed. Asynchronous Ram tuning is "excellent" :woot: |
If anyone knows a linky to where this board is available from .be perspective I'd appreciate it :) Thanks for the info windwithme :) |

Thank you, I knew I came to the right place :) |
Pictures of board’s detail. The lab test system details CPU: INTEL Core 2 Extreme X6800 MB: DFI LANParty UT ICFX3200 T2R/G DRAM:CORSAIR Dominator TWIN2X2048-8888C4DF VGA:Nvidia 8800GTX HD:Seagate 7200.10 320GB POWER:Corsair HX620W Modular Power Supply Cooler:TT Sonic Tower Used X6800 series multiplier crack, can keep the processor uprise even after x11. 8800GTX the default 576/900 MHz 3DMark2003 In an environment likes 680i, it runs 10% lower 3DMark2005 In an environment likes 680i, RD600 runs almost the same to it. 3DMark2006 In an environment likes 680i, RD600 runs almost the same to it. About the 3D rendering, RD600’s performance is quite good. It equipped with the highest model of NVIDIA~8800GTX. Only 3DMark2003 was performed so- so. The result of other 2 like: 05/ 06, were the same to NVIDIA’s 680i. Hope that NVIDIA has a better driver of 8800GTX for RD600 to improve the performance in 3DMark03. FSB part: Not long ago, the highest FSB of Intel platform that I tested is ASUS P5B-Deluxe My first X6800, which tested with P5B-Deluxe, was worked steady at highest FSB497. But the result of DFI’s RD600, worked steady at FSB520. My second CPU, E6300 gained highest FSB470 and worked steady (no matter how high the voltage I increase). The highest FSB of RD600 is 485. This’s worked steady too. (the same E6300, also no matter how hard I increase the voltage, it just can’t push the FSB a little higher. I think it must about the physical limitation of CPU itself) At last, the DDRII settings of RD600 are totally free for user to adjust. Not necessary to accord with the FSB ratio. CPU:500X7=>3500Mhz DRAM: DDRII 1200 CL4 4-4-9 2T (rest of some minor parameters are so tight) 2.35V, a single Super PI 32M finished 2.38V double Super PI 32M finished Although, I’m not test this board very detail. But I’d like to make a initial comments of 1st part test. DFI LANParty UT ICFX3200 T2R/G Merits 1.BIOS options and settings are various and comprehensive 2.Built-in total 8 x SATAII ports and the 3rd PCIe~ physics card, expansibility is really high 3.The performance of FSB is excellent; almost can compares to Intel’s chipset. 4.Memory adopts an “open-structure” for users to tweak. You can tweak how fast you want the DDRII to be. Not limited by CPU FSB ratio anymore. 5.The board adopts some good features like: 6-phrase digital PWM, Dual gigabit LAN, Debug light and on board power/ reset buttons. Rich features! Things need to be improved: 1.Price of RD600 is as high as 680i, hope there will be a new cheaper version that built without Promise RAID chip. 2.If the in-box bundles and package can be improve next time, it’ll be great. 3.The north bridge and areas around should have a better cooling solution, especially when FSB overclocked more than 500. 4.The BIOS sometimes show a incorrect clocking, when FSB is overclocked. Although, RD600 is the last chipset that ATI designs for Intel platform. But DFI still tried their best to make it perfect as a LANParty series product. A highest FSB and the high “tweak-ability” of memory settings are the biggest merit of the board’s itself. Moreover, some of the setting and performance are even better than 965/ 975 and 680i chipset. If some minors issue that I mentioned about can be improved, I think LANParty ICFX3200-T2R is the best choice of all Intel platforms. windwithme will test two in-coming products: Performance and Overclock 7900GSPhoenix version The mid-range motherboards of Intel’s platform MSI P6N SLI Platinum |
Very nicely tested and commented. It's appreciated. |
excellent OC report, god FSB tests, thanks! |
