En neem ik beter RDRAM dan DDRAM (is de IT7 niet enkel DDRAM)?
...

rule number one : inform yourself.
it7 is ddr ram which is good. Rdram is faster.
rule number two : the only think you need to get a decent overclock performancewise is...
take one guess...

FRONT SIDE BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!

you need fsb to get a steaming gleaming glowing blowing 3dmarkmachine.
not just mhz but lots and lots of FSB...
for example : if you can choose between a 2.4 ghz processor being a 24*100 (the old one) or a 18*133 (new one) or a 1.6 overclocked to 2.4 (16*150) which one do you choose?
I choose the 1.6... it's fsb of 150 will devour the 100 fsb 2.4...

to get that high fsb, what do you need?
you need a low multiplier... when do you have a low multiplier? generally speaking when you simply do not buy the top of the line...
the lower the multiplier, the higher you can possible take your fsb meaning more sheer horsepower to your entire system...
my 1.6 runs @ 2.85 ghz... 16*178, you think I'm willing to trade it in for a 2.4 @ 2.85 running 24*118?

Think again...

get yourself a 133 with a low multi, for example a 2.266, that one will clock your head off...

the ram? get hiquality, corair pc3200 or so.

maybe....
you should try it in English...
there is high possibility of hitting 3ghz with an alfa 8942 and a 2266.

Probably a stupid question but what RAM is better:
- APACER DDR 256MB 333Mhz PC2700 CAS2 (€ 95,02)
- TWINMOS DDR 256MB 266Mhz CAS2 PC2100 (€ 80)

Twinmos uses the Samsung chips.

If you are lucky, Apacer is also with samsung-chips,
try to find out if it is so.

You're even most likely to hit 3g with the Intel cooler

edit: @ devil interested for a corsair 256 mb pc3000 module? (€116, 1 1/2 weeks old, only if I can lay my hands on corsair 256mb pc3200)
