5A power converter

Nothing much to say about it, made a 5A DC-DC power converter. Output: 10V down to 2,5V. Input: 12V, maybe I go for 220VAC in. Compact and efficient power supply, switching technology no linear regulation. Should take roughly 5 120mm fans.

Made one about the same, but based on the LM317 can handle about 1 Amp.

Thinking about building high-end PSU, which is adjustable. Not for PC's however.

That's linear, not switching. Try LM338 for larger currents.

Looks nice, I might just have to make one of those.

Don't remember exactly which IC I used, sure it was manufactured by Linear Technology's, I think it might be the LT1170 or LT1070.
