PCI is not locked...
most people use a 66mhz IDE card. Promise makes them aswell. They cost about 55 euros, and you have about 33mhz headroom left on your PCI bus. That would translate to a 400mhz FSB, so the PCI wouldn't be that much of a bottleneck anymore.

that's interesting to know, does it fit in a 33mhz PCI slot?

The promise model was being sold at tones a few months back for only 27 euro's. : ) I bought a few, lemmie see whether i can find the model number.
