KC 200 MX is a pleasure to type on when used for productivity featuring MX2A SILENT RED switches, an upgraded version of the MX Reds, while keeping the noise at a minimum. We are dealing with a standard layout in terms of keys, with only four extra over the numeric pad, which take care of volume controls but also for opening the most used app, Calculator. The keyboard also comes with anti-ghosting and N-key rollover capabilities, while the key legends are laser-etched for additional durability.

Right after starting typing on this keyboard, we noted that it is unusually silent versus many other keyboard models we have tested in the past, thanks to the vibration/noise dampening of the chassis but also the custom switches themselves! The 47 gF force needed for actuation is really pleasant for both gaming and work scenarios, making this keyboard ideal for use in environments where other people are working along with you such as offices or when working from home.

By installing the Silicon Power 2x16GB DDR5 4800MHz CL40 SODIMM memory kit, the bottleneck regarding capacity has disappeared and because of this we have also noted a small bump in performance in most benchmarks. Since the disk swapping when running games disappeared due to enough memory quantity, we have also observed a small improvement on the thermals as well.

The DRAMless KIOXIA EXCERIA PLUS G3 mainstream drive does deliver good performance and comes with great durability numbers (1200 TBW for the 2TB variant). It houses the Phison PS5021-E21T main controller and BiCS5 HDR type, TLC, 112-layer NAND, and the mean transfer rate won’t drop under 400MB/s even when the pSLC cache has been fully filled.

In the case of the Eryx Tataricus kit, adding two more modules seemed to help not only with capacity (which basically doubled), but we have obtained in many tests results better than when running with only 32GB and we were surprised that the results at 6200 were better in some cases than the ones obtained at 6400MHz or 6600MHz while running two modules, at the exact same main timings and voltage.

The Crucial Pro 96GB kit is not a kit designed for overclocking and insanely low timings, but it is more oriented towards capacity in order to allow usage of multiple RAM-consuming processes at once such as virtual machines or for editing large video projects. You can be sure that by installing such a kit you will benefit from complete system stability, for both AMD and Intel platforms and you also have the choice of running two different profiles.
