Skype Reaches a New Stage of Momentum

It looks like becoming part of Microsoft has been a good move for both Skype and Microsoft. Figures show Skype has more concurrent users online, increased growth, higher minutes-usage and once the quarterly earnings are released later this week, a high probability of increased revenue. It could be just a sign of how "mainstream" Skype has become. No longer the terrain of early or even middle adopters or those that are technologically minded, but anyone with a decent phone or computer who wants a way to make a cheap call.
