ATI RS480 Athlon 64 board pictured

@ 2004/10/22
IT MIGHT BE called Radeon Xpress but we are still unsure about the name of ATI's first Athlon 64/FX/Opteron chipset.
We know it will come in two versions. The first codenamed RS480 is IGP (Integrated Graphic Processor) chipset while the second one is RX480.

We managed to get a nice picture of ATI reference RS480 board. It has an actively cooled north bridge, four memory slots, PCIe 16X, two PCIe 1X, two PCI slots and one unidentified slot.

We noticed four S-ATA connectors and good old IDE connectors on board followed by a floppy one.

not yet widely known in UK....they are from the group of a big OEM motherboard manufacturer and currently promoting in Europe....

They always got the first hand ATi chipset motherboard...price quite all right but products come with 3 years warranty, which is good for me in UK

Worth a try, I have been using all brand motherboard this 14 years, and brand does not really matter for me

where are you from?

Thank you

Currently I am using the EQS RS350 purchased in UK and it's performing good...thinking of getting another S939 PC for myself...I think I will go for the EQS RS480 again this time

I will post more updates once I got it in next month

Any one using the ATi RS480 Socket 939 motherboard?

Know that this motherboard comes with PCI Express and also Radeon 9600 DX9 core VGA onboard

Heard that EQS will launch this board in this December...
