@ 2012/07/13
Ever willing to get into the data services game, Dell has released its Quickstart Data Warehouse Appliance.

Quickstart is based around Dell PowerEdge 12th generation servers and Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Data Warehouse Appliance Edition.

The big idea is that Dell can shift it on mid-sized organisations which want top come up with cunning plans by sifting through their data.

The new application will allow the organisations, even those with limited resources, to come up with business ideas based on the data they have.

The package comes with Dell Boomi which is not an Italian bomb but software which allows for the integration of data from any source including cloud.

As you would expect the package contains all the hardware and software you can eat and supports up to 5TB of user data.

It also includes a lightweight subscription-based data integration service that integrates data from any source using a visual interface.

Microsoft Product Marketing general manager Doug Leland said the Dell Quickstart Data Warehouse Appliance is the first such appliance to market on SQL Server 2012.
