Silicon Power Also Unveils SkyShare Series WiFi Drives

@ 2012/06/06
Silicon Power made its entry to wireless storage with its SkyShare series of WiFi drives. These self-powered drives provide media streaming and data sharing for up to 8 simultaneous connections (compare that to 3, of the Kingston WiDrive). The first two members of the SkyShare family are the NAND flash-based SkyShare F10, and HDD-based H10. The flash-based F10 will be available in capacities of 32 GB and 64 GB, with "low power consumption," while the HDD-based H10 will be offered in 500 GB and 1 TB capacities. The H10 supports a "wired mode," in which it can talk to the host while charging itself, over fast USB 3.0 interface. Both the drives will support 802.11 g/n, and standard security features. The F10 and H10 are pictured in that order, below.
