Facebook drops Chrome

@ 2012/06/04
There are signs that Facebook is moving away from Google and punting a closer arrangement with the less popular Opera browser.

There are rumours that Facebook is thinking of buying Opera, and these seem to be getting some traction.

As of now, Facebook's "unsupported web browsers" page has removed Google's web browser, Chrome, and replaced it with Opera.

While it does not matter if Chrome is recommended or not, the website should work.

Apple's Safari browser is snubbed by Facebook but does not seem to have any problems. We use Chrome and we have had no Facebook problems either.

At the moment, though, Facebook says that you should use a browser that is either IE, Firefox or Opera. The fact that it has taken down Chrome rather than just adding Opera is fairly significant and is a slap in the face with a wet fish to Google.
