Diablo 3 Launches without AMD Eyefinity / NVIDIA Surround Support

@ 2012/05/18
Diablo 3 will undoubtedly be a success for Blizzard, both critically and financially. However, in their willful choice to not support AMD Eyefinity and NVIDIA Surround, Blizzard has chosen to ignore the desires of their most fervent userbase - those PC gamers who invest in cutting edge rigs and push PC gaming to its limits. Blizzard did add multi-monitor support through "fullscreen windowed" mode. Windowed mode in PC games introduces performance hits for users, and prohibits the use of CrossFire or SLI (something multi-monitor users will most likely need, and probably have). Blizzard could have gone the way of Torchlight II developer Runic Games and offer native multi-monitor support with a HUD (particularly the automap) built special for Eyefinity and Surround. (Video of applicable Torchlight II footage in the blog post.)
