The MacBook Air set the bar for thin and light laptops, but the first crop of ultrabooks are all set to challenge the incumbent from Apple. Marrying a strong, sleek looking unibody chassis with flash memory put the svelte MacBook Air under a lot of people's arms. Suddenly, there was the ultrabook—a functional laptop that you could do work on—a laptop you can tuck under your arm and take anywhere.
