Will Ultrabooks rule the Windows notebook market in a few years?

@ 2011/11/09
Research firm IHS iSuppli is predicting that Ultrabooks will account for 43 percent of worldwide notebook PC shipments by 2015, despite the fact that Windows-centric ultra-thin PCs are just now starting to arrive on the market.

This year, Ultrabooks will account for just 2 percent of global shipments, iSuppli says. That is from just a smattering of devices from the likes of ASUS and Toshiba. But iSuppli argues that ultra-thin PCs will become a huge part of the notebook PC market for much the same reasons the MacBook Air became a big part of the Mac's laptop success. It's just going to take some time, because hardware vendors were slow in meeting the threat posed by Apple.
