Intel Ceases X25-E Enterprise SSDs,Making Way For 710 Series

Lately Intel has just informed their customers of discontinuing the X25-E enterprise SSDs from 11th,July,making way for the 710 series.

According to Intel,though there is great demand with X25-E SSDs,50nm SLC NAND flash in which are in short supply,so the SSDs have to discontinue.

After the retreat of X25-E,Intel 710 series SSDs will become the new main force.The newly SSDs feature 25nm MLC NAND memory chip,64MB cache,SATA 3Gbps interface,as well as capacities of 100GB/200GB/300GB.

In Q4,Intel will roll out strong-performed 720 series SSDs which adopt PCI-E port,34nm SLC NAND memory in capacities of 200GB/400GB.
