@ 2010/11/29Many adjectives may describe the upcoming launch of Intel's Sandy Bridge processors, but surprising won't be one of them. Intel has already confirmed the release date—January 5—and we're getting a close look at an increasing number of matching motherboards. Now, listings for Sandy Bridge-powered laptops have even crept online.
The folks at Laptoping spotted a couple of those listings, both for systems featuring the same Core i7-2630QM processor. One, a 15.6" Gateway machine, is listed at NextDayPC.com for $852.94. Another, a Lenovo laptop with the same display size, is priced at $1,138.35 at Provantage. Neither e-tailer quotes an availability date, but if the listings are up already, I don't expect it'll take too long for those notebooks to make it onto UPS and FedEx trucks.
