ASUS EAH6870 Video Card Review

The ASUS EAH6870 is a great product and a great value. Performance-wise, it is in-line with other Radeon HD 6870s and on-par with the competing GeForce GTX 470. In terms of efficiency, it is a far better choice than the GeForce GTX 470. For roughly equal performance, it consumes less power and generates less heat. While the out-of-the-box overclock doesn’t do anything to improve the gameplay experience, it doesn’t cost any more either. ASUS is selling their modestly overclocked model at AMD’s MSRP. For this price, you get VoltageTweak technology using SmartDoctor to take the video card to new performance levels. The fact that you are getting this for the same price as MSRP means a lot to enthusiasts.
