Corsair H70 High-Performance Hydro CPU Cooler Review

@ 2010/09/09
The Corsair Hydro Series™ H70 and to a slightly lesser degree the H50 provide good performance for their price. Water cooling your PC has never been easier or more cost effective. With air coolers approaching $90 the H70 and H50 start to make real sense; with the H70 coming in at $110 and the H50 priced around $80. Factor in the low delta you get when working with water and it’s hard to consider anything else. Corsair has really outdone itself with the H70.

It is worth mentioning here as well that Corsair does include two in-line resistors with its H70 kit that can be used to slow down the fans a bit making these near silent under normal computing conditions. In our testing, using these to slow the fans turned in results comparable to the H50. While we think the H70 is a bit more dense when it comes to the wattage load it can carry, unless you are going to use the fans at full speed it seems you would be better off with the H50 and its very non-offending sound profile.
