AMD Athlon II X3 450 scheduled for Q3 2010

Currently the fastest triple-core is the AMD Athlon II X3 445 and it is clocked at 3.1GHz. We're talking about a Rana based tri-core which is nothing more than quad-core Propus with one core turned off.

The CPU has 1.5MB cache or 512KB per core and the new iteration runs 100MHz faster. AMD is quite predictable with naming and clock speeds. The new CPU that is scheduled to come this quarter, Q3 2010, is named AMD Athlon II X3 450 and it runs at 3.2GHz.
