Samsung ships its 1TB Spinpoint 2.5-inch HDD

Samsung has announced that it is now shipping its newest Spinpoint MT2 2.5-inch HDD, the one with 1TB of capacity. Featuring three 333GB platters, this one ends up at 12.5mm so bear in mind that you might not be able to squeeze it in your notebook due to the 9.5mm standard limitation.

The rest of the specs include a SATA 3.0Gbps interface, 5400RPM working speed, 8MB memory bufer as well as Samsung's SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies for lower noise output.
