Intel’s New 32nm Ultra-low Voltage CPUs Due in June

@ 2010/05/10
In order to help the shipment of ultra-thin laptop reach and even surpass the 14.5 million shipped units estimate for this year, Intel is going to extend its ULV (ultra-low voltage) offerings next month with a few cheaper models. The processors will be part of the Core i3 and i5 series, and based on 32nm manufacturing process. They will be clocked lower than the earlier models but can provide enough performance for ordinary applications. The ultra-thin laptops powered by the upcoming ULV chips should arrive in the second half of this year, right in time for the back to school shopping season.
