Artist creates self-portrait of herself from Cat 5 cables
@ 2010/04/23I’m not an art critic, nor do I pretend to be one. But when it comes to imaginative uses of computer technology for the sake of art, I often take notice.
Take for example this provocative piece of modern art created by Kasey McMahon. Called “Connected,” it is apparently a self-portrait sculpture of the artist using steel as the underlying frame, which is then wrapped with Cat 5 patch cables along with other types of wires to create the form of the body.
