Sapphire Radeon HD 5970 TOXIC 4GB Video Card

You can see that there's some serious power on offer from the HD 5970 TOXIC 4GB from Sapphire. There's no denying that the extra power would come more so from the extra MHz on the core and memory rather than the extra RAM, but in creating what they want which seems to be the ultimate graphics card, it's clearly a nice touch.

"mediumimage preset"? At HQ resolutions, is this a joke?

Would be better if it was.

Yup Tweaktown chaps are nubs when it comes to graphics benching. The primary part of their reviews is benching without aa and af (who would play their games without aa/af to care about those benchies in the first place) and secondly they use two or three games only mostly outdated ones as well.

Too bad that toxic 5970 wasn't put through proper pace.

I feel your pain, their goal is release a quick article, TT doesn't do VGA card reviews at high AA/AF & resolutions, although they have a 30" LCD to test them with

Wow... Another review of a card with twice the memory as normal, but only 1 benchmark is run with AA and AF turned on? I think the best indicator of the raw power of a card is the min fps at the absolute highest resolution and image quality possible and thats why I think its most interesting that in that one benchmark with 8xAA, the 480 has a min fps thats about 25% higher than the dual gpu 4gb card. I am seriously getting tired of these half-assed reviews... Its like a review of a Ferrari where the driver turns the vehicle on, but never leaves the parking spot hes in.
