Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Toxic 2GB Review

As a factory overclocked card it is easily faster than the reference card by way of comparison. Cooling performance is another aspect that was measured since this card does use a non-stock cooling solution. Running with the factory clock speeds and letting the driver control the fan speed, the maximum temperature I recorded was 66° C under load with a 39° C idle temperature. The fan reached 43% utilization at this load temperature so you have both cool and quiet.

I dont understand why someone would bench this 2GB model next to the 1GB model and not increase the AA and AF settings. Its only under those settings that you would really see the benefit of the 2GB of memory. They tested most games at only 4xAA and some with only 2x or none at all and while the 2GB model was generally a bit faster at stock, I wonder how much more of a lead it would have had with the higher settings.
