Intel's Core i7-930 is set for a February 28 debut but those who want the new LGA 1366 part can already purchase it from a variety of European stores. Set to retire the popular 920 model, the 45nm Core i7-930 has a four cores @ 2.80 GHz, eight threads, 8MB of L3 cache, an integrated triple channel DDR3 memory controller and a TDP of 130W.

All of Intel's sockets have a letter name! Have to wonder if even Intel uses it though... does make sense for mobile, ~4 kinds of "478" sockets.

I still prefer LGA1136, not had issues so far. Socket 478 seemed more fragile due to CPU pins.

LGA 1366, also known as Socket B
corrected, thanks. Never head of Socket B though

so far used it once, already hate it, pins are bent way too easily

LGA1136 sounds like a typo.
