In the works for quite some time, AMD's new 8 Series chipsets are closing in fast, with a new report claiming that the new silicon will debut next week and continue its roll-out in April. The first 8 Series release is supposed to be the 890GX chip which will support AM3 processors and be equipped with the DirectX 10.1-ready Radeon HD 4290 integrated graphics core. This one will debut on March 1st and be present in waves at the CeBIT (within motherboards of course).
