Dell, how about (end-user) costumer support ?

The consumer side of the market can see Dell's build quality and support are slipping. They are gonna have to step up soon !!

How does HP handle end-user support after the warranty is expired?

Even a day after your warranty ends, you can only call Dell support after paying for each call, they won't talk to you or other any sort of support whatsoever. Can't even call to make inquiries without paying first for the privilege.

Maybe that's there main income ?
I do think it makes up a very large percentage of their income.

for end users they tend to do a lot of cost saving
on the business side they have next day intervention, no questions asked
GOLD support has your issues solved in less than 4 hrs.

I wonder never buy Dell for home users, but would recommend it without hesitation for work PCs

HP has been really pushing these last years, also in businesses, wouldn't surprise me if companies might start swapping Dell for HP
