18 Radeon HD 5870 Cards, One Core i7 CPU, 100L+ of LN2 -> 3DMark Vantage World Record

@ 2010/01/19
Stummerwinter brought his amazing Core i7-975 Extreme Edition CPU with him and Asus had gathered 18 pieces of Asus Radeon HD 5870 VGAs to be tested. Corsair had sent very good set of Dominator GTX2 DDR3-2250 memory.

Test setup:
- Intel Core i7-975 Extreme Edition
- Asus Rampage III Extreme
- Corsair Dominator GTX2
- 4 x Asus Radeon HD 5870
- 1200W + 950W + 910W PSUs
- Windows 7 32-bit
- Catalyst 9.10 & 9.12
- F1 EE & Tek 9.0
- LN2 cooling on CPU & VGAs

47002 is more than 1000 marks higher than the previous world record of 45755. The ability to pre-test 18 Radeon HD 5870 cards to find 4 of them which overclock up to 1325Mhz on the GPU stable certainly paid off!
