The laptop includes the Express Gate instant-on OS, boasts four Altec Lansing speakers, an ExpressCard 34/54 slot, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a 2.0 megapixel webcam, an 8-in-1 card reader, an 8-cell battery, and is loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit. And we're talking "starting at" $1645. Don't even says you get the 5870 for that price.

I'd be surprised if it offered >50%.

even if HD 5870 mobility offers 75% of performance of the desktop part, it will run all current games at full detail at the screen native resolution, that's quite a feat

Given that almost all mobile hardware is half the hardware of it's desktop version, or even rebadged last-gen hardware like GTX 280M, I think they have a ways to go still.
