Supply of 3.5-inch HDDs tight until March 2010 ?

@ 2009/12/13
Supply of 3.5-inch hard disk drives (HDDs) for use in desktops and servers has fallen short of demand and the tight supply is unlikely to ease until March 2010, according to Taiwan-based PC makers.

Main global suppliers of HDDs, including Western Digital (WD), Seagate Technology, Hitachi, Toshiba and Samsung Electronics, have increased production of 2.5-inch HDDs used in notebooks due to short supply arising from fast growing demand for notebooks in 2009, the sources pointed out.
