VIA presents the VN1000 chipset with DX10.1 integrated graphics

@ 2009/12/11
VIA Technologies has just unveiled the VN1000, a new chipset supporting its C7, Eden and Nano processors which is claimed to be the "perfect solution for next generation small form factor and all-in-one Windows 7 PCs." This rather bold claim is backed by the fact the this latest silicon features a DirectX 10.1-ready Chrome 520 graphics core with 32 stream processors, the ChromotionHD 2.0 video engine which brings full 1080p hardware acceleration, the FastStream64 memory controller that can handle both DDR2 and DDR3 memory, and support for DisplayPort and HDMI connectivity.
