Left 4 Dead 2 demo now available to all PC users

@ 2009/11/04
After a brief bout of pre-order exclusivity last week, Valve has now made its Left 4 Dead 2 demo available to the general public. As Shacknews reports, the PC demo is a free download on Steam, and console users with Xbox Live Gold subscriptions can grab the 360 version on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The demo takes players a couple of levels through the multiplayer zombie shooter's The Parish campaign, which is set on a late New Orleans afternoon following an undead outbreak. Players can try single-player or cooperative multiplayer, but that's it—no Versus or other game modes. On the flip side, you do get to slice through packs of zombies (not to mention new "super-infected" monsters) with a machete. Oh yes.
