HIS Radeon HD 5770 1GB and CrossFire performance review

@ 2009/10/19
After covering the launch of AMD's mainstream DirectX 11 graphics boards last week via their new "Juniper" GPU core courtesy of a couple of cards from Sapphire, we already find ourselves ready and raring to revisit the Radeon HD 5770 thanks to a sample from HIS. Again, this board sports both AMD's reference cooling solution and clock speeds, so rather than simply repeating ourselves, how about taking a look at CrossFire performance while running two Radeon HD 5770 parts in tandem to make things a little more exciting?

As we've just mentioned, HIS' Radeon HD 5770 makes use of AMD's reference design, meaning that it utilises those same 850MHz core and 1200MHz memory clock speeds.

AMD's dual-slot reference cooler is also employed here, with the bare cooler bare from any branding looking rather fetching if you ask me - A refreshing change from seeing garish stickers atop modern graphics boards.
