Chrome 3 out, JavaScript performance increased 150% since v1

Google has released Chrome 3 to the masses. The new version includes JavaScript performance improvements and support for theming. According to Google, the V8 JavaScript engine in Chrome 3 is 150 percent faster than in the original version of the browser.

Google announced on Tuesday the official release of Chrome 3, a new version of its WebKit-based open source Web browser. The new version introduces several noteworthy new features, including a faster JavaScript engine, a theme system, improvements to the Omnibox, and a redesigned New Tab page.
