Sapphire takes the lead with its 1 GHz Radeon HD 4890 Atomic

In May, Sapphire, and then other manufacturers, announced a special Radeon HD 4890, equipped with a GPU clocked at no less than 1 GHz against 850 MHz for the standard version. Apart from the fact that this is a first in the GPU world, it also represents an unusual level of overclocking for this series. We have therefore decided to take a look at it in detail with the Radeon HD 4890 Atomic from Sapphire. Does it outperform the GeForce GTX 285?
