@ 2009/08/13While AMD's official processor pricing page hasn't been updated, it appears the company has indeed cut prices on a wide range of Phenom II processors and one Athlon II CPU.
For instance, the Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition is now selling for $199.99 on Newegg as of today. That's $45 less than the official $245 price tag found on the official AMD CPU price list. And even though AMD still lists the Phenom II X4 945 at $225, on Newegg it now sells for $169.99.
Looking for a triple-core Phenom II CPU? Newegg currently sells the Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition for $119 (list price is $145) The slimmest Phenom II cut goes to the Phenom II X2 550, which is now priced at $102.99. That's actually a little higher than the $99.99 this CPU was selling for a few weeks ago.
