WhipTail whips up 6TB solid state drive

WhipTail Technologies, a US-based supplier of SSD tier 0 storage appliances, has expanded its product offer to include a super expansive but spacious 6TB device. Coming as a 2 rack unit (2U), the high-capacity appliance targets mid- to large-sized enterprises and is said to provide up to a 90% energy saving, a 60% reduction in data center footprint, and a 90% cut in load times.
