Kingston Launches New Ultra Low-Latency DDR PC3200 Memory Kits For PC Enthusiasts

@ 2004/07/19
Fountain Valley, CA - Kingston Technology Company, Inc. announced the addition new ultra low latency DDR PC3200 memory. The Kingston HyperX 400 MHz (PC3200) CL2 DDR module specifications have been updated to support lower latency timings of 2-2-2-5-1 in 512-MB memory configurations.

Kingston’s HyperX modules are designed for the avid gamers and PC enthusiasts who like to maximize the performance of their systems to allow for the optimization of memory parameters. With the lower latency timings, enthusiasts can take their systems to a higher level with the increased performance provided by HyperX.

“Kingston expanded the HyperX line to include even lower latency timings, due to customers who have specifically requested a lower latency product,” said Scott Chen, Vice President APAC Business Division, Kingston. “The reduced latency timings will dramatically increase system performance for the enthusiast while still providing frequency headroom.”

Kingston engineers designed and qualified HyperX modules by careful selection of memory components that were assembled and then thoroughly tested for ultimate performance. The modules were then assembled with a heat spreader and tested at their highest-rated speeds.

Kingston HyperX Features:

184-pin Unbuffered DDR Modules

PC3200 400-MHz settings: 2-2-2-5 (CAS Latency 2)

Aluminum heat spreader for thermal diffusion

PCB height: 1.200” (30.48mm)

Voltage: 2.7v

All of Kingston’s memory modules are 100 percent tested and come with a lifetime warranty.

2.7v ?

that's quite high as the default is always set to 2.5v.
