NVIDIA GeForce 200M series notebook GPU technology preview

@ 2009/06/15
NVIDIA's GT200 architecture on the desktop made some great strides in terms of power saving, particularly at idle, and notebook GPUs have traditionally always been far more granular when it comes to reducing power consumption. However, most likely the biggest cause of any power savings here is the fact that all of these new GeForce 200M parts have been created using the latest 40 nanometre manufacturing process. We've already seen this process used to good effect on AMD's desktop Radeon HD 4770 part as well as some of their notebook GPUs, and now TSMC's yield problems using this process have supposedly been resolved it's well and truly ready for prime time.
